Homeschooling was never meant to be done alone.
Homeschool Pep Talks is a free evening gathering for homeschooling parents to come together for trusted information, real conversations, practical encouragement, and community. Each month we’ll explore a different homeschool topic while creating space for connection, questions, and honest discussion with other local parents who understand the journey.
This is for families homeschooling with and without scholarships, using the UA scholarship with Step Up, or the Personalized Education Plan (PEP) with Step Up.
This Month’s Topic
The Most Effective Way to Build Strong Readers and Spellers
We’ll talk about what research actually says about how children learn to read and spell, common mistakes that can slow progress, and simple ways parents can build stronger literacy foundations at home with more confidence and less overwhelm.
Whether you are homeschooling a struggling reader, an early learner, or simply want to better understand how reading development works, this workshop is designed to leave you encouraged and equipped with practical next steps.
Hosted by Suzanne Mechler, Florida certified educator, homeschool mom, Homeschool On Location founder, and Step Up provider.
Located at The Hardware Store Event Venue in downtown Brooksville.
Free to attend. Registration encouraged.
